LEGION 3D Help

System Options

You can change the main background colour; the ‘Wireframe’ colour (the skeletal frame of objects); and the ‘Selection’ colour, which is the colour of the highlight box that appears around objects and Entities when you click to select them.

Once set, these options will apply to all your LEGION 3D projects. You can change background colour settings for individual projects by right-clicking in the viewing area and selecting ‘Environment’.

To change the System options:

  1. Select Tools > Options > System.

You can choose to have the background as a single ‘Solid’ colour or you can also select a second colour into which the first colour will gradually fade from top to bottom. The combination of these two colours is known as the ‘Gradient’.

  2. Select the Solid (colour 1) option button and choose a colour from the drop-down palette labelled ‘1’.
Tip: To have a single solid colour throughout, do not select the Gradient option button.
  3. To add a second colour for the ‘Gradient’ effect, select the Gradient (colour 1 to colour 2) option button and choose a colour from the drop-down palette labelled ‘2’.
  4. Select a Wireframe colour from the drop-down list.
  5. Select a Selected item colour from the drop-down list.
  6. In the portion of the dialog labelled ‘Quicken interaction’, you can influence the speed at which LEGION 3D responds to interaction such as panning, tilting and zooming. Select one or both of the following options:
    • Display skeleton entities when interacting with the scene
    • Display wireframe objects when interacting with the scene

Both of these options may help speed up LEGION 3D’s response times when interacting with scenes.

  7. Click Apply or OK to save your changes (‘OK’ will close the dialogue box).
